At TAPS, we believe communication comes in many forms: spoken words, gestures, expressions, and movement.

Our mission is to help individuals of all ages find their voice and strengthen their skills through connection, creativity, and play.

I'm Tiffany, the founder of Talk And Play Studio (TAPS)

I've spent over 20 years helping children, teens, and adults discover their voices. But my journey didn't start in a therapy room it started with curiosity, creativity, and a deep belief that learning happens best when it feels like play.

My path to speech-language pathology has been anything but linear. I started with a B.A. in Speech and Hearing Science in 2002, and along the way, I earned three master's degrees: Education and Human Development, Educational Administration, and Speech-Language Pathology. Each one taught me something new about how people learn, communicate, and grow.

But what really shaped my approach was experience. I've worked in private, charter, and public schools. I've been a special educator, a special education coordinator, an SST/504 coordinator, a summer school vice principal, and now a speech-language pathologist. I've worked with children in self-contained, resource, and inclusion classrooms. I've supported students with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, speech-language impairments, and emotional disabilities.

Over the past 20+ years, I've had the privilege of working in many different roles and settings:

As an Educator:
I've taught in self-contained, resource, and inclusion classrooms, supporting students with diverse learning needs. This experience taught me that learning happens best when children feel safe, valued, and engaged.

As a Special Education Coordinator and SST/504 Coordinator:
I learned the power of collaboration. Supporting students isn't just about what happens in one classroom or one therapy session: it's about building systems where everyone works together. I've facilitated hundreds of IEP meetings, coordinated services, and helped families navigate complex educational systems.

As a Summer School Vice Principal:
Leadership taught me to see the big picture. Every child's success depends on strong partnerships between therapists, teachers, administrators, and families.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist:

Now, I get to focus on what I love most helping people find their voices. Whether working with a toddler saying their first words or a teenager building confidence in conversations, I bring clinical expertise, creativity, and genuine care to every session.
